Country by country-CATV

CATV is an abbreviation for community antenna television or community access television and it provides the most powerful type of media : television. The first television by cable was built in 1948,and worked on a limited area because of the lack of signal .An improved version of television by cable came later and soon spread into some of the Europe cities and then, after a few years in North America,Australia, East Asia and entire Europe.Time has passed and thousands of Tv channels were creted by now in each country ,some of them regard political, economical or religious issues while others provide entertainment.

In the United States, the first four television networks were working in 1950,but couldn’t be reached by the people who lived near the mountains because of the bad signal. The problem was solved by the antennas, placed in a strategic way,on the higher areas such as hills and on top of their houses.Since 1990s due to the large number of companies that provide Tv cable, people are encouraged to purchase individual channels and not to consider the option of a Broad tier.United Kingdom’s first television network was BBC,officialy set in 1946,after the interruption during the Second World War and continues succesfully these days too, after several improvements were made.It was followed later by many other new tv channels like Sky Channel,Screensport or Music Box.The Tv cable system has extended so much along with the years that it is now discussed the possibility of a large television over broadband internet connections. Some of these services are available in London at the moment and their number will certainly increase because of the people’s choice of spending time in front of the computer instead of a tv.Canada was also one of the first countries to benefit of a cable Tv system. At first helped by connections with London ,Vancouver or Quebec,Canada soon developed its broadcast television. The first cities to receive cable television were Toronto and Montreal ,followed later by most of the cities of Canada. In Latin America cable television was provided at first in 1983 by the panamanian Rexa company and has now a variety of channels offered by both Spanish and English companies.

At the moment every country of the world has television by cable and its derrivated as cable internet and cable telephony or wireless internet. We are looking forward to see what the future will prepare to us when it comes to CATV.
